Kuehne + Nagel and Temasek have teamed up to form a joint venture that will find and invest in start-ups focused on developing new technology aimed at logistics and supply chain. The plan is to invest at early stages of development in the companies that have the potential to improve efficiency, models and particularly in analytics, AI, blockchain and robotics. With more than $500 million in venture capital and other investments devoted to these kinds of start-ups in the past five years, will other, bigger firms begin to consider acquiring these technologies?
